Fosters are why we are able to save and rescue dogs that are in danger of being euthanized, surrendered by their owners, abandoned on the streets, and in need of medical care. We can't rescue dogs, if they don't have a foster home to go to. Fosters are the real miracle workers that save these little lives, by opening their hearts & their homes. We are ALWAYS in urgent need of fosters. All year round! Food and medical care are provided for the foster dog, while in your care. (If you would like to donate dog food for your foster dog, just let us know. We'll take care of the medical!)
Foster must be 21 & older.

Transporters take the first step in rescuing dogs. When we see a dog in need, we send our transporters to the shelter to get them out of harms way. Transporters are the first step to saving lives! We call these "Freedom Rides", and for good reason!
Online networking is so important to the rescue community and part of that is having great pictures of our adoptable pups. Whether you're a professional or an amateur, we would love for you to take some photos of our dogs that are closest to your area!
We rely on donations for all of our funding. If you have any ideas for fundraising that you would like to spearhead, let us know! You can also work with us to organize an online fundraiser using social media, you can set up a dine-out fundraiser, share our dogs in need on your social media feed and ask for donations using our donation link, or anything else you can think of! We welcome ideas and offers.
Are you a groomer who is willing to donate a little of your time to help out dogs in need?
If you are a beginner groomer, you can practice by grooming a dog in need. If you are a grooming school or a grooming shop, you can still donate your time and groom some pups in desperate of need of a bath & haircut!
Do you have other skills, talents or passions you think would benefit Happier Tails Rescue? We want to hear about it! Submit an application and describe what you want to bring to our rescue family & pups!
